Hello dear friends

We've had privileges lately of Special Meetings and my grandmother's funeral. What priceless days!! I feel richly blessed and as I think of what it means to have a grandmother whose death is only a victory, I am awed and humbled. I want to learn from that.

While at those gatherings, lots of you mentioned reading and enjoying my blog and I wanted to thank you. I've got to admit that I'd begun to wonder if there was anyone out there. But since there is, I shall carry on!!

Andy and I are doing splendidly. Our 2nd anniversary is coming up, we're still talking (*smile), we're having fun, we're working hard and dealing with problems as they come. He's still healthy as a horse and my stability on this rocky cancer journey. As far as that cancer ... who knows! ? That cancer number is down this time around (a relief for most as it had gotten really high the last time, but I'm not sure whether I believe that number anymore). I feel absolutely grand when not under the effects of chemotherapy. For having what the doctors originally called a "very aggressive cancer" I am doing very well... I am up and about, able to do just about anything I would like to do. I am so fortunate as I know many people struggle very much with cancer and the treatments.

It's been cold here - delightful, really. I love winter, weirdly enough. Here's a photo of our fairy-tale house and one of me bundled up to go move cows a couple weeks ago:

And here are our little ones, enjoying sharing some body heat:

And finally our special, Special company: If any of you have a spare second, please leave a comment. I love reading them, love how it makes me feel connected to all of you and like there's a reason to keep this up. Thank you, dear friends!

I love to keep in touch with my Wyoming family through your blog. I savor every glimpse of scenery, dear friends and family and of course all your critters. The kids even are interested! They loved your puppies that one time we were there and of course the horses are awesome. We think of you and Andy often, and smile when we think of that big cowboy hunk of yours trying to drive (that is all any of us do...try to drive) in our traffic. Thanks for letting us visit.

How could you doubt there was anyone out there who reads your posts?! I check in regularly even tho' I don't always reply. We met with someone in HI last Sunday whom I had 'discovered' in blogland, and it was fun getting acquainted and learning the degree of connections we actually do have. There are always lots in the fellowship, aren't there? Nice to know your g'ma finished her race and leaves a heritage of encouragement behind. Hugs.

I to check your blog regularly, but don't always comment. I love your sense of humor and it has gotten you through some rough times.
Your grandma was a very special lady and will be missed. I love how you spoke of what a good end to her life. We heard Sun. about how all of us need to be working on the finishing touches of our lives. Just makes me want to understand more of what those finishing touches are.
I have several of your pictures that I have used as wallpaper on my computer. You do a beautiful job, and that takes a good eye for what the camera can capture.
Thanks for reminding us, that just stopping by is not enough, we need to share our thoughts with each other.

Hey there, Michelle...I LOVE your Blog...keep it up!!!!!! and !!!! and by the way...keep it up!! :)
Wow, the pix of your house is awesome, I can just picture the warmth and coziness inside the door underneath all that ice and snow. A welcome that would be inviting and comforting...I wanna come over!

I like the personality that seems to emanate from your horse in the picture of you ( bundled up against the elements ) on his back..he looks frisky and anxious to do his job, like he is really enjoying your little ride with him!

It was just delightful to see you and Andy Ray. You two are a real inspiration and example in the way you have faced all that has been your portion in such a newly joined union of marriage! Smiles on your faces, and a spirit of thankfulness in spite of discouraging health issues! I love you both!! Renee

Hi Michelle! I don't really know you personally, but try to keep up with you with 'blog hopping' too! I'm an old friend of Lisa W's while she lived in WA(where I'm originally from) and know Lane and Kim too. We live in the Houston area about an hr. from her Mom & Dad. Maybe she told you that I invited you to stay when you came down here. You're welcome any time if you happen to come back to MDA. We know quite a few of those workers as my husband is a 'Montana boy', so nice to see them all there! Keep up the posts! Happy Anniversary and we'll keep hoping those #'s come on down! Hi Michelle! I too am a "blog hopper". I love going from blog to blog and seeing "friends" I know and don't know. I love all the pics of your horses....my Grandparents used to show Appaloosa's and even had a grandchampion (he won the Canadian Nationals and placed 7th or so in the Nationals here - his name was Mr. Duplicate Hand). Anyway, so I love seeing all of your horses....they're so beautiful!! I'm always glad for updates on your health too! Again, I don't know you personally, but I feel like I kind of do and I'm always glad when you've got great news to share!

Take care and thanks for letting me lurk!! It would be wonderful to meet sometime!

It was good to see your update, Michelle. Please keep on blogging. I enjoyed your winter wonderland pictures. It looked pretty chilly in your horseback picture. I was sorry to hear of your Grandmother's passing, but we are thankful for her faithful life. Take care, Linda

It was so great to see you both at Grandma's funeral. What a pillar she and Grandpa were as Ron said. I can't believe we live only a couple hours from you and hardly ever get up there to see you all. I think I am becoming a homebody like Grandmma was and my Dad is. That is why I so love to check your blog and read and chuckle at life on a horse ranch. If you ever get to Casper stop in. Happy anniversary !!!

It's the real deal! So, your pictures and stories are always a ray of sunshine to any of us who read them. Hi Michelle,
I don't actually know you, but I've heard lots about you from Tiffany's mom, who lives just a few miles from us and also happens to be my mom's cousin. Another connection is your sister! I met Shawna when she lived in La Crosse and really enjoyed her. I haven't seen her for years now, but think of her occasionally. Tell her hi from Jenny...If you'd like you can see who I am...our blog is www.3littlerascals.blogspot.com

I haven't checked a blog in months, but "treated" myself this a.m. upon finishing paying bills and cleaning off the desk! We had a busy holiday season, spent traveling on slick snowy roads and so were more than glad to be home and snowed in would be great! (I don't clean house then, I make big messes!) Wonder by now if you were able to retrieve your computer "brains" and pictures? It's awful to be so addicted but we all are. Our thoughts have been with you and others in all various health issues. Love your attitude and I know it inspires others! Keep blogging cause us "lurkers" really do check in! :) Willis & Kathy

That picture of you on the horse makes we want to quit my job, move to Wyoming, and become a cowgirl, just like in all those Louis L'Amour books. Congratulations on 2 years of marriage.
