Woo-Hooooo!

Oh now see how much more fun that was!! That is just splendid to hear from all of you! I guess I just needed a little reinforcement and I got it. Thanks! I shall keep on posting and if you want to keep on commenting, that'd be just fine with me! :)

So Onward dear blog readers!

As for barn photos, my dear Melody, I shall post a few for you. We aren't as far along as we'd like to be. This time of year there are just way too many things slowing us up, but it's coming along as you shall see. The main inside portion is up and they'll add the "wings" on the sides that'll contain the stalls in the next day or two. Those you'll just have to imagine for now. One of the best parts is it'll have a green metal roof. Well ...that's not the best part in itself - - the best part is that we also bought green metal for our HOUSE and it'll match, which is nice. But nicest is that I won't have to cover my piano and my pillow and my guest bed and my computer and my furniture and my.... (etc., you get the picture) every time it rains or the snow melts. That, friends, is the best part!

My computer crashed. That's the news of the day. I was typing away, working like mad and it just went blank and died. I'm going to take it in the the computer hospital and all of you need to be sending good vibes this way because our business is on there with the thousand documents I created for it, our accounting program, not to mention all the photos I've taken. This is agony, as any of you who've lost your "brain" in a computer crash will know. Keep your fingers crossed for at least a partial recovery of files, even if the computer itself has croaked!!!

And here's the latest on my health... (how psychologically interesting I put it below the barn and the computer crashing news. Someone should study me and my weird response to this disease.)

Anyway, my heart has been acting up lately, beating FAR too fast and it's been scaring me and the doctors both. I can't tolerate much more than a slow walk without getting totally weary. I've had a number of tests and they found I have some lingering effects from the clots I had in my lungs way back in August of 06- causing some increased pressure there which then affects the heart as it tries to pump against that pressure. Not really enough to make it beat this fast (that's still a mystery to everyone), but it is a concern, so I'm not going to take any more Doxil. (Some of you may remember that it has the nasty problem of occasionally causing your heart to act up, which can be a permanent effect. No one wants to add to my heart issues by giving me another dose.) I've been started on medication to slow the heart down, so hopefully that'll give me more energy.
SO. I know nothing more. I will have to switch chemos of course, but I don't know yet what that will be or what it'll do to me. How much you want to bet I find out though? :)

And now for pictures!! AGH. What are we going to do without my pictures? I'll post some Tiffany has and try not to cry when I think about losing all of mine. :{
First of all the barn: The corner closest to the camera is where we're putting the living quarters. I'm thrilled about my design.... I'll try to share it with you as it goes up.

And now for the hard workers sweating it out, trying to finish this barn!!!

And finally - my arguments for why only God should try to decorate in December:

These last 2 are mine - - I salvaged them from my online photo site. Thank goodness for online photo sites! Good days all of you - have splendid holidays and keep in touch!

Wow! Those pictures are beautiful. I especially like the thot that only God should decorate. Doesn't He do a wonderous job of it.
Oh dear, I am sorry to hear about your heart acting up but I know it can't affect the thoughtful, caring, loving part of you. It sure is fun to be home these days and have time to peruse all the fun blogs there are.
Thinking of you every day,
Retha

Yeah, they really look like they're "sweating it out"! And who is that older guy there? :)

Oh, Michelle! I hope you can salvage your computer!!!! I DO know what it's like to lose all of that work! Ugh! I feel for you! I *will* keep my fingers crossed!

Keep us up on your treatments. We really DO want to know! It is a bummer about the heart thing. Glad they caught it now, though, instead of it being too late or too far along that it's caused permanent damage.

And thanks for sharing the winter pictures. They made me feel happy. :)

All for now. Jen

Who is your computer dr?? We took our laptop to Wedge Fike, were really happy with his service. Even though it meant we had to buy a new one all to gether, at least he was honest and upfront with us about it. Just don't use Artistry Web, they really aren't honest and didn't do us a bit of good. We took the laptop there first, paid them $100 and picked it up worse than when we dropped it off. When I called them on it, they said bring it back and they would look some more and decide how much more it would cost to fix it.

Hope the heart meds help. It is no fun to be exhausted!!

Did we get more snow in the last day or so?? We have been in worland since sat evening. Brayden is busy being spoiled!!

Michelle, you always help my perspective. Are you sure you didn't excell in photography while in nursing school??!! Your pictures always capture a "feeling" and a I love it! We'll send our BEST wishes for a perfectly solvable and salvageable computer, warm hands for those hard working men and the BEST of luck with new chemo, slower heart beat and good health with it all!! Holler if you need anything! :) LW

Whoa! You have inspired me to go ahead and stop putting off the backing up of all the photos on our computer. I don't think I could live with myself if I lost all of those pictures. I hope all goes well with the recovery, and that you get the heart under control. Jona

Want today's giggle?? Well, Justin says the heart thing is very explainable.... you've seen him a few times lately, and that is the effect he has on a lot of women!:)

In all seriousness, THAT STINKS! Hope it clears up once you're off the Doxil, and that you can stay cheered up during the waiting for the next step....

I absolutely LOVED the barn pics, especially the one of the barn builders! I can hear your Dad's laugh when I look at it, and that makes my day!

Much love to you - and good luck on your computer!!!!

Oh for gracious sake!! How could I have forgotten that JUSTIN is the cause of my racing heart?! Justin Todd you must refrain from visiting for a few months until I recuperate.

Whew! Cased closed, folks - let's notify the physicians. :)

Wow! Now that we finally got rid of aol & world's slowest dial up, blogs are actually possible to read. How interesting to see and read the little details I didn't know. Wonderful photography! Great barn start too. We haven't been there in the daylight to see the real thing, so this works. Take care & love from Leonhardt's

So sorry to hear about the heart problem and computer problem! Hope both of them are better by now.
Then mixed in with that you had the death of your Grandma A. Even though that was a positive victory for her, it is something else for you to adjust to! So you've certainly had some jolts lately!!
We think of you often. Love,
Carol and Harold

Howdy...oh jeepers...the deal with the computer is tragic. I HOPE it is recovering...perhaps all better now? I know how terrible it can be when your business files are all gone...it happened to us, and thankfully due to the brilliance and persistance of one of the friends who does computer work he was successful. I wish you the same!
Ahh, I hate to hear your heart is acting up...has the medicine helped? I love your acceptance of every bump in your journey, and your focus on things like barns and computer troubles rather than the thing that would seem biggest to me....your health. That is incredible.....YOU are incredible.
The sunset and frosted tree picture is stunning. You could sell your pictures!

Love you, Renee

It is so fun to read and see about "home" even though I have been in CA longer than WY now. I do not miss the WY winters, however! We think about you folks often, and hope all is going well. We have heard about the barn going up. Love all the pictures. Can't wait to see everyone when we come home this summer. Leona
