Here we are again... now posting from Houston. Yesterday's flight went smooth as silk and we arrived here about 6 p.m. We are in the most amazing hotel which is connected directly to MD Anderson. They are totally amazing...
They prepare you for your appointment, tell you the best way to get there, provide every service needed, have a FREE shuttle to nearby dining/shopping/museums and the most beautiful rooms. It's a little like how Huntsman Cancer Center treated us... they just know what cancer patients need, how best to help them, etc. Thank you Karen F., for suggesting this place! We are very, very impressed.

Unfortunately we're in a bit of a hurry, so this will have to be it for now. Just wanted to let everyone know we're doing fine and I'll post again as soon as we can after the appointment.

Wish us luck.

You two are going to be quite good at this travel thing by the time you get back home! :) We do wish you luck as you go to your appointment. Hope the wonderful treatment you are getting from them will carry over to positive news and cancer treatment! I don't know how much time you have, but there are some pretty neat things awfully close to you! If you have the time and energy and want to take in a special eating place, museum, or something else, call Hannah B or us. She lives right there and has some pretty swell places picked out from being there 3 years! Lots of care and thoughts going Houston way today....

Oh, my, yes, we are wishing you luck...it seems I am just constantly thinking about you, whether I am outside pulling weeds, or inside doing laundry, or in town running errands! It is great to hear how caring and compassionate everyone seems to be there at M.D. It must make a HUGE difference in the way you feel. Well, I DO hope you are feeling up to seeing some sights, but if not....enjoy the lovely hotel and just relax!! Heaps of love from your cuz....Renee

I am so glad that you are finding M.D. Anderson a pleasant & accommodating place. I can walk the halls with you in my memory - and wish I were there with you to personally guide you to some of our favorite little nooks and cranny's that we found in that immense place. Maybe you will discover them for yourselves, if you end up staying awhile! Thanks for keeping us informed, we are anxious to hear.

My Dad was treated at MD Anderson for cancer years ago.........it definitely is one of the top cancer treatment facilities. And as you've indicated......the "personal caring touch" about even the little details means so much. Our thoughts are with you there. Harold and Carol
